Our popular visit to Newcastle returns in 2021 for more walks and sightseeing. Your itinerary includes a short 4-5 mile walk along a section of Hadrian’s Wall, a visit to Vindolanda Roman fort, an exclusive tour around Bowes Museum as well as a visit to the iconic Angel of the North. There will be time for you, perhaps shopping in Newcastle or the Metro Centre, or time for you to venture around our beautiful Northumberland coastline.
Our coach will leave each day from our hotel. The hotel currently offers some great prices and free cancellation deals from £142 for four nights, fully refundable 28 days before arrival or £199 fully refundable, cancel up to 1pm on the day of arrival. All meals at the hotel are payable as taken.
Our holiday will include the option to join us for a coffee morning on Saturday 10th July to which our local members will be invited.

Your holiday itinerary will include:
Wednesday. A table will be booked for us in the restaurant for 7pm
Thursday. We travel directly to Haltwhistle for the start of our short 4/5 mile walk along Hadrian’s Wall ending at Cawfield Quarry. We will re-join the coach and travel to Vindolanda Roman Fort (entrance included).
Friday We leave by coach heading directly to Bowes Museum (entrance included). Following a guided tour (included) there will be time to look around the museum. Lunch will be served in the luxurious Jubilee Room, exclusive to embark2. (included in the cost of your holiday. The Jubilee room is subject to minimum numbers). After lunch, you have the option of remaining at the museum and/or exploring the extensive gardens (admission included). Alternatively, you may wish to visit Barnard Castle, which is only a short walk from Bowes Museum.
On our return, the coach will stop at the Angel of the North for photographs before we continue our journey to the hotel.
Saturday There will be a coffee morning where local members will be invited and plenty of free time for you to explore our glorious Northumberland Coastline, or visit the nearby Seaton Delaval Hall or Tynemouth Priory, or maybe do some shopping in Newcastle or the Metro Centre.
For our final the evening we will arrange a meal at a local restaurant (included).
